Paris Apartment

Set within the 16th arrondissement, Paris, this five-bedroom apartment makes for a tranquil family home in the heart of the city. The client requested soft, neutral tones throughout the space to emulate a tranquil setting and the design direction provides a gentle flow from room to room. The architecture within the 16th arrondissement formed a natural source of inspiration, and Katharine Pooley utilised the dominance of the cultural heritage of the sinuous, organic lines from the Art Nouveau period and translated this into the interior design of this project. Thoughtfully considered lighting, silk wallpaper, upholstery, joinery finishes and the colour schemes were incredibly important to allow for this.
