GALERIE STÉPHANIE COUTAS

Stephanie’s furniture designs in bronze and marble are exquisite. I particularly love the ‘Bronze Cambium’ table with its hand-made top in solid bronze. It is subtly reminiscent of the cross-section of a tree, and very beautiful aged trunk.

CHAHAN GALLERY

Chahan Gallery always has the most beautiful, original pieces. I loved their glasswork and the raw sculptural form of their dining chairs. In particular my eye was caught by a steel dining table with a Verde Luana marble top, a very interesting marble that’s quite rare to come by.

GALLERY JALLU

The wonderful Roberto Ruspoli painted this linear artwork freehand directly on to the Gallery Jallu stand. Eye-catching and fun it was my stand-out  memorable detail of the show and a smart backdrop to Jallu’s straw marquetry and gypsum furniture collection.

WA DESIGN GALLERY

These sculptural paper lanterns drew the eye on WA Designs’ prize winning stand, but the coffee table below was the real treasure to behold. Crafted from Japanese zelkova wood with a rubber wood top and partially hand-carved with a chisel, the artistry on display was formidable.

CARPENTERS WORKSHOP GALLERY

Amongst a sea of superb Parisian galleries, The Carpenters Workshop Gallery flew the British flag with simple elegance. Their stand was an ode to pared-back luxury and textural contrast. I loved Paul Cocksedge’s ethereal ‘Light and Shade’ chandelier anchored by the rock like  ‘Slump’ tables below.
