Elara Residence

Kuwait

Defined by bold lines and elegant embellishment, the ‘Elara’ residence reinterprets the glamour and sophistication of the Art Deco era for a contemporary lifestyle. In the Study, a striking De Gournay gilded wallcovering is complemented by custom-built ebony and brass shelving. The Primary Bedroom and Dressing Room feature a bespoke Colbourns carpet, running seamlessly underfoot from one space to another. Sunlight floods the sitting room, highlighting walls adorned with silk wallpaper with handpainted cranes in soft metallic tones. The avian motif continues subtly across the room, embroidered onto the backs of tasselled armchairs. The residence also features a series of intimate sitting areas and lounges, where custom upholstery in jewel-toned silks and soft neutral linens balances drama with comfort. Light fixtures, mirrors, and metal accents reference the period’s glamour.
